Blog Post for Week of November 5th, 2024

Page Break from the “Toggle block inserter” to create a page break. You can visually see the result a couple of lines above this line. I would suggest that nomenclature for the Assignment 3 handout be updated so that it is easier for students to find the required options to include in their blog pages.

Insert Special Characters

You are reading about Special Characters here, because again, there apparently there isn’t a built-in special character feature in the Gutenberg Editor, however one can copy and paste characters from a site like Unicode Character Table or use HTML character codes directly in your text block.

Examples of Special Characters:

  • Trademark: ™
  • Registered: ®
  • Copyright: ©
  • Em dash: —
  • Accented e: é
  • Degree symbol: °

These special characters can help you more accurately convey your content, especially if it involves mathematical expressions, foreign languages, or specific symbols. Again, I would suggest that nomenclature for the Assignment 3 handout be updated so that it is easier for students to find the required options to include in their blog pages.
